One of the most famous stories for persistence in trying to succeed has to be that of Colonel Sanders (of KFC fame). Colonel Sanders took his chicken recipe to all the restaurants he could find, trying to sell the recipe to them as he was broke. Many restaurants turned him down, thought he was mad in fact, but he persisted. Colonel Sanders visited 1,009 restaurants before someone finally said yes to him, how about that for persistence! Two years of being turned down before finally success.
